Sustainable Development Goals 2030

Samara State Medical University works in line with and prioritizes the importance of Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs, set in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and intended to be achieved by the year 2030, are part of UN Resolution 70/1, the 2030 Agenda.

The Sustainable Development Goals are :

        1. No poverty

        2. Zero Hunger

        3. Good Health and Well-being
        4. Quality Education
        5. Gender Equality
        6. Clean Water and Sanitation
        7. Affordable and Clean Energy
        8. Decent Work and Economic Growth
        9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
       10. Reducing Inequality
       11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
       12. Responsible Consumption and Production
       13. Climate Action
       14. Life Below Water
       15. Life On Land
       16. Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
       17. Partnerships for the Goals

Being an educational organization teaching future healthcare professionals, the most important SDGs we prioritize are:

        3. Good Health and Well-being
        4. Quality Education
        5. Gender Equality
        8. Decent Work and Economic Growth
        9. Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure
       17. Partnerships for the Goals

We also pay a lot of attention and contribute to supporting and achieving the rest of the goals.

We for sure do not exclude and reduce the importance of any of the SDGs, we have only mentioned the ones working towards which is the most realistic picture for our university.

In our work we develop multiple partnerships with different national and international organizations moving towards the same direction (eg IFMSA, WFME, National Ministry of Education, Ministry of Energy, etc.).

We truly believe that by joining our forces we can reach a better future together by 2030!
