Leading Research Center

The Leading Research Center (LIC) was organized on the basis of the Institute for Innovative Development of the Samara State Medical University and was chosen as one of the executors of the federal project “Digital Technologies” of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”.

The center’s priority activity is to create a platform for the development of products using augmented and virtual reality technologies. As part of this strategy, work is underway to create a hardware-software complex (HSC) for the social rehabilitation of patients with multiple sclerosis and autism, and a complex for the diagnosis and rehabilitation of spatial and speech hearing based on virtual reality using various audiovisual scenarios. It is also planned to research and develop our own methods for restoring fine motor skills of the hands, with the implementation of the corresponding APC.

In addition to medical hardware and software systems, LIC is developing applied products for teaching various specialists how to behave in emergency situations of a man-made and natural nature, as well as solutions aimed at simulating technologically complex equipment.

The center’s work is based on the principle of a full cycle of project implementation – from the formation of an idea and its implementation to the practical implementation of a finished product or technology in the real sector of the economy.

Tasks of PERSONS:

carrying out research work aimed at developing new and improving existing technologies, methods and guidelines to

provide conditions for overcoming technological barriers of the roadmap for the development of “end-to-end” digital

technology of “virtual and augmented reality”

development and implementation (commercialization) of digital products and services using VR and AR technologies

aimed at expanding the scope of these technologies

together with the departments of the Samara State Medical University, participation in the organization of the

educational process of students, the preparation of graduate and doctoral students, advanced training

of scientific and pedagogical workers

organization and conduct of scientific , educational , research activities, as well as international activities in

conjunction with the departments and other structures of the Samara State Medical University

formation of methods for training and retraining highly qualified specialists in software development (using VR and

AR technologies)

coverage of the activities of PERSONS in the media

implementation of advertising and exhibition activities in order to promote innovative developments

search for partners for the commercialization of innovative developments/technologies.

Key areas of project activities of the LIC:

Development of innovative products and methods of patient rehabilitation.

Development of methods and approaches for training personnel in production using VR technology.

Development of enterprise management systems using AR technology.
